Summer Cup highlights four-race card at Karachi Racecourse today – Henry’s Club

KARACHI: Seven horses are in the running for the Summer Cup, which stands prominently in a small four-race card drawn up for the Gymkhana Race Meeting to be held at Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The Summer Cup, which is the third race of the event, is also the feature event of the day under order I, II and III of the top combined scale and will be over four and a half furlongs.

Of the seven competitors, only the Dark Bay Philly Queen of Spades has won her last race on March 27 and can continue her winning streak.

A field of nine horses would compete for honors in the fourth and auxiliary races classified under Scale Orders IV and V. It will also happen on four and a half furlongs.

In the first race under scale order VIII, nine horses would be up against each other, running on four furlongs, while the other 12 would face the starter in the second scale order VII at the same distance of four furlongs.

Bay Horse Hi Alert and Bay Mare New Market will make their debuts in the first and second races respectively.

A total of 37 horses will be seen in action, excluding the last minute return.

The first race will start at 2.30 pm.
