The star now often makes headlines because of her stint in the popular reality show Bigg Boss 16. During an interview with ETimes, Sumbul Tauqeer’s father Tauqeer Hassan Khan responded to the rumors about his daughter’s next ventures. He also revealed that his daughter is getting many offers for upcoming fictional shows on some popular TV channels. Responding to the speculations, he said, “Sumbul has received several offers for fiction shows. But only she can decide what she wants to do after getting out of the Bigg Boss house. Right now, she is in the house and I am sure she will reach the finale and hopefully win the trophy. After she comes back, she can decide what she wants to do.”
He further said, ‘All these talks about the inclusion of contestants in fiction shows after Bigg Boss are just rumours. This is done just to promote the contestants and create hype around them. At the end of the day, it’s about his game. Sumbul has received positive reviews from the audience and I am currently only focusing on her performance in the show.”
Meanwhile, the ongoing sixth season of the Naagin franchise, which is one of the most popular shows on Indian television at the moment, conceptualized and produced by Ekta Kapoor will wrap up soon. Bigg Boss 15 winner Tejashwi Prakash was roped in to play the lead role in the production. The last few episodes of the show will also see Adaa Khan and Anita Hassanandani. The previous seasons of the series featured two actresses as Naagins. Tejashwi played dual roles in the current season, and both her characters, Pratha and Prarthana touched the hearts of the audience.
Sumbul Touqueer is currently one of the top nine contenders of the season along with Tina Dutta, Shalin Bhanot, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Priyanka Chahar Chowdhary, Shiv Thackeray and Archana Gautam. Bigg Boss 16, the reality show hosted by Salman Khan, premiered on Colors TV and Voot on October 1, 2022, and the grand finale is expected in February after an extension.
