Sully Deal Case: Delhi Police’s Special Cell arrested ‘mastermind’ and app creator from Indore

New Delhi: The Special Cell (IFSO) of Delhi Police on Sunday arrested the mastermind and creator of the Sully Deals app from Indore.

Earlier, Delhi Police officials had revealed that Neeraj Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind and creator of the ‘Bully Bye’ application, has revealed that he had a habit of hacking and sabotaging the websites of schools and universities in both India and Pakistan.

He also said that Bishnoi has revealed during his interrogation that he was also in touch with the person behind the Twitter handle @sullideals, the alleged creator of the ‘Sully Deals’ app hosted on GitHub in July last year.

The Delhi Police had arrested 21-year-old Bishnoi from Assam and claimed to have solved the case that pertained to listing hundreds of Muslim women for “auction” on the “Bully Bai” app on the Github platform.

Bishnoi, a Jorhat resident, who studies computer science engineering in Bhopal, is the fourth person arrested for his alleged involvement in the app. The other three, who were arrested by the Mumbai Police, include a 19-year-old woman from Uttarakhand who is alleged to be the prime accused in the case.

“During interrogation, Bishnoi revealed that he has a habit of hacking and distorting websites. He has been learning it since the age of 15. He has hacked or hacked various websites of schools and universities in India as well as Pakistan. They claimed to have hacked websites,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations) KPS Malhotra.
