New Delhi: Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has sent a Rs 100 crore legal notice to television actor Chahatt Khanna for causing ‘damage’ and ‘irreparable damage’ to his reputation with his allegations. In a recent interview, Chahat opened up about the reports of her being linked with Sukesh Chandrasekhar, claiming that she was trapped in Tihar Jail meeting the conman. Chahat also revealed that he proposed to her in jail and this encounter had an impact on her marriage with Farhan Mirza as well. Sukesh, who is facing trial in a Rs 200 crore extortion case, had earlier reacted to Chahat’s allegations, calling her a ‘liar and gold digger’. In the latest, Sukesh has sent a legal notice of Rs 100 crore to the actor.
According to Times Now, Sukesh’s lawyer Anant Malik has asked Chahat Khanna to withdraw the allegations leveled against him within seven days or face the case.
On 3 January, Chahat Khanna recorded her statement before the Patiala House Court in the conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar extortion case. During a recent interview, Chahat claimed that a woman who introduced herself as Angel Khan (Pinky Irani) took her to Tihar Jail instead of an event for which she was called from Mumbai to Delhi. He was told that the way to the venue goes through Tihar. She claimed that Chandrashekhar had proposed to her in jail and she was called to Delhi on the pretext of a program and taken to Tihar Jail.

“He was wearing a fancy shirt, sprayed a lot of perfume, and was wearing a gold chain,” Chahat recalled. He introduced himself as the nephew of J Jayalalithaa, the owner of a popular South Indian TV channel. He said that he said that he was arrested in a case of EVM tampering during elections, but was being given VIP treatment in jail. He also said that he was my fan and had watched my TV show Bade Achhe. Looks like he saw me and wanted to meet me.”
“I panicked and told him, ‘Why would you call me here? I have left my six-month-old baby at home and came here thinking it was an incident.’ Then, before I could even understand, he got down on one knee and said he wanted to marry me. I shouted at him, ‘I’m married, and I have two kids.’ But she said that my husband is not the right man for me and that he will be the father of my children. I was so worried that I started crying.”
Chahat further said that she was blackmailed with the footage from Tihar that someone had taken and was asked to pay Rs 10 lakh.
“I was helpless. I didn’t want anyone to know that I was in Tihar Jail. I was also worried that it would affect my marriage and so I agreed to pay them. My marriage, And my husband and I separated. Maybe I should have approached the police and filed a complaint. But things kept happening one after the other and I just wanted to get out of this.”
Earlier, Nora Fatehi had filed a defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez after she alleged that Nora had allegedly received gifts from Sukesh from ‘proceeds of crime’. Nora also claimed that Jacqueline made statements to destroy her career. Both Nota Fatehi and Jacqueline have been questioned in a money laundering case filed against alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
