Students at govt schools in Rajasthan to get milk twice a week

Jaipur: State Education Minister BD Kalla on Monday (28 November) said that students of class 1 to 8 in government schools in Rajasthan would be provided milk along with distribution of free clothes. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will launch this scheme on Tuesday.

Under the Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana, milk will now be given to the students of government schools in Rajasthan. Along with this, the government will also distribute clothes for dress to the children of these schools and money will also be given for stitching. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will launch these schemes from Jaipur on Tuesday.

According to the minister, students will be fed milk twice a week. Lakhs of students studying in government schools of Rajasthan will be benefited by the launch of the important scheme of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot government.

Similarly, from Tuesday, clothes will be distributed to children in government schools too, so that children can get their uniforms made from these clothes. For this, the government will also send the sewing money through the principal of the concerned school to the account of the children or their parents.

Taking a jibe at the Centre, the minister said that the funds for uniforms should have come from the central government, but were managed from state funds only. The school children should have got funds from the central government for the dress, but it was not received, but the Chief Minister has made arrangements from the state fund itself, so that the children can be dressed and stitched at the government level itself.
