Struggling cricketer, three including ex-wife booked under NDPS Act Rajkot News – Times of India

Rajkot: A struggling cricketer And an alleged drug peddler along with his ex-wife was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on Thursday.
According to the police embassy (24), Ami Cholera (22) and Irfan Pattani (43) were found allegedly under the influence of drugs from room 301 of a hotel on Race Course Road on October 22.
Police also found three syringes – one empty, one partially used and the third unused. The police had sent the syringes along with the blood samples of the three for forensic examination.
The forensic report confirmed that the syringes contained the drug mephedrone and the same was found in the blood samples of the accused. Based on this report, Ambasana, Cholera and Pattani A case was registered under NDPS and Prohibition Act.
Ambasana’s mother Alka had complained to the police on the night of 21 October that her son had become addicted to drugs and was missing. The police found Akash along with his ex-wife after an overnight search.
Police later claimed that cholera had decided to undergo a de-addiction program and wanted to prepare for the police constable’s exam. The police have also provided him with books and coaching to crack the exam.
