In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has shown strictness on keeping pet dogs in government quarters. Government employees have been asked to immediately take out pet dogs without prior approval. They have been asked to take this dog outside to the residential area. A similar order has been issued by the ADGP of Punjab for the police quarters. In this regard, a report has been sought after implementing the order in a week. The Quarter Munshi and Line Officer of Police Lines have been asked to implement the order.

Neighbors object without permission
It has been argued in the order that the employees have been given rooms in the police colony by the Punjab Police. Many of these employees have kept pet dogs. There is constant objection from the neighbors about this. Many of his complaints have reached higher officials. According to the rules, permission has to be taken to keep a pet dog, but the Punjab Police personnel did not do so.

Departmental action if the order is not accepted
A letter has surfaced in this regard from the ADGP of the Commando Wing of Punjab Police. Which has been written to the commandant of Bahadurgarh, Patiala, Mohali and Bathinda. It warns that pet dogs should be out in a week. If an employee refuses, departmental action will be taken against him.
