Security forces, who swung into action after attacks on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, have detained more than 700 people. They are being described as helpers of terrorists. News agency AFP has claimed this. In the last one week, terrorists in the Valley have targeted Kashmiri Pandits, people of Hindu and Sikh communities as well as local civilians. He killed 7 people.
According to the news agency, a police officer said on condition of anonymity that 700 people detained have links to banned religious and terrorist groups. He said that no stone would be left unturned to find the killers of common people. Bhaskar spoke to IG Vijay Kumar of Jammu and Kashmir on this issue, but he refused to say anything.
The murder was done at the behest of the handler of TRF.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested 4 people on Sunday night in connection with the murder of a civilian. On October 5, a person named Mohammad Shafi, who lived in Shahgund area of Bandipora area, was murdered. According to the police, the incident was carried out at the behest of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s TRF group handler Lala Umar. Apart from this, many more accused are also being searched.
There is anger among the common people after the attack on Kashmiri Pandits and Sikhs in Kashmir. Every day processions are being taken out here in protest against the terrorist attacks.
Raid on magazine bases for instigating youth
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted raids at 16 places in Jammu and Kashmir. These raids took place in Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam and Baramulla. This action has been taken in the case of publication of Voice of Hind magazine and recovery of IED. The magazine is accused of publishing content that incites youth. This magazine is being published online every month since February 2020.
Recent terrorist attacks in Kashmir
- In Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, two teachers were killed by terrorists after entering a school in the Idgah area. These included Principal Supinder Kaur and teacher Deepak Chand. Supinder belonged to the Sikh community and Deepak Chand was a Kashmiri Pandit. Both were residents of Alochibagh in Srinagar. The terrorists shot both of them after checking their ID cards.
- Noted pharmacist Makhanlal Bindru was shot dead by terrorists entering his medical store in Srinagar’s Iqbal Park area. Bindru, 68, was one of the few who did not leave Kashmir even in the 90s. The terrorists threatened the outsiders not to come to Kashmir and snatch the jobs of the local people.
- An hour after the attack on Bindru, Bihar’s Virendra Paswan was killed by terrorists in Hawla area of Awantipora. Virendra used to handcart Bhelpuri and Golgappa. He was a resident of Bhagalpur. After a few minutes, Bandipora’s Mohd. Shafi Lone was shot dead.
- Terrorists attacked a police team in Natipora area of Srinagar on Friday night. In retaliation, a Lashkar terrorist was killed. The other managed to escape. The slain terrorist was Aaqib Bashir Kumar, a resident of Tranz Shopian. He was associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.
