Strict message from petrol pump owners, instructions to make Firhad SOP

Is water getting into the oil? Many such complaints have been made to the Transport Department. And because of this there is a possibility of getting water in the oil. In this way the customers are suffering. Keeping this problem in mind, State Transport Minister Firhad Hakim gave strict instructions in a meeting with the pump owners. He immediately instructed to prepare Standard Operating Procedure or SOP within the next one month.

Firhad Hakim has announced this strict step to prevent water logging in petrol pumps and to stop selling water along with oil to consumers. He met oil companies and petrol pump owners in the state transport department on Wednesday. In the meeting, oil companies were also instructed to prepare standard operating procedure. The minister said that the standard operating procedure has to be prepared within the next one month.

Regarding the meeting, the State Transport Minister said that there have been allegations of water logging at the petrol pumps. And a survey has been ordered to stop it. All oil companies need to do that survey. This survey will be done at all the petrol pumps in the state. The pumps will be leak free tested. After the completion of the survey, oil companies will be able to implement rules for ethanol blending.

In the meeting, the petrol pump owners told that water is accumulating in the petrol pumps due to mixing of ethanol. Sometimes water goes to fill the customers’ cars with oil. Customers are being harmed and pump owners are also being harmed. That’s why petrol pump owners had called for a strike in August. However, on the assurance of Firhad Hakim, the pump owners withdrew the strike.

In today’s meeting, a call was made for the use of flow meters for oil supply. Issues related to the quantity of oil have also been discussed. Posters will be put up at all the petrol pumps in the state to spread awareness. Now the next step will be taken after submitting the standard operating procedure.
