Delhi’s Jahangirpuri is in the news again for the alleged stone pelting incident between two communities in its J block on Tuesday night. The incident has sparked panic in the area, which had already witnessed communal tension during Ram Navami.
According to sources, there was an altercation between the two groups, after which a fierce fight ensued. Soon both the sides started pelting stones at each other.
A CCTV footage of the incident has been accessed by IANS, where people can be seen running and pelting stones at each other.
Several vehicles were damaged in the incident and additional police teams were immediately rushed to the spot to avoid any untoward incident.
Police have detained some people who were pelting stones at each other and are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, police is also patrolling the area to maintain law and order.
