The S&P BSE Sensex continued its rally for the third consecutive session and ended its new record high of 54,369.77, up 546.41 points or 1.02 per cent. The Sensex also touched its lifetime high of 54,465.91 during the session.
Echoing similar sentiment, the broader NSE Nifty rose 128.05 points or 0.79 per cent to hit its all-time peak of 16,246.85. It touched a lifetime high of 16,290.20.
