State to monitor travelers from 6 countries to prevent third wave

The state is determined to stop the third wave. Therefore, the state government wants to keep an eye on the passengers coming from seven countries. Senior officials of the state administration are going to meet on an urgent basis for the security of Kolkata airport.

The state wants to make a shield to fight this new form of corona. Therefore, the health officials are going to hold a high-level meeting on Tuesday on this emergency basis.




According to sources, the list of seven countries includes South Africa, Bangladesh, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

It is learned that emphasis can be placed on corona test in this meeting. Apart from this, it will also be discussed in the meeting what other precautionary measures can be taken in case of passengers coming from that country. Apart from public health experts, virologists, health construction officers and Calcutta Airport Authority will be present in the meeting.

Health experts have warned that a new species of corona may knock in the Delta Plus country. In such a situation, the third wave is making the eyes red. However, traces of the Delta Plus variant have already been found in the bodies of several people in the state. The state first wants to be cautious so that the infection does not spread on a large scale.
