Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad clash for the first time in IPL 2023 tonight. RCB are still alive in the tournament and will be hoping for a top-four finish to ensure a playoff berth, but SRH are languishing at the bottom of the points table.
RCB put up an impressive show with the ball in their last match when they dashed fellow playoff hopes of Rajasthan Royals with a massive 112-run win. Due to this, his net run rate has also increased a lot.
A win tonight won’t seal RCB’s place, but will brighten their chances. A defeat would keep them in the race but then other results would have to go in their favour.
SRH has nothing to lose. Indeed, they have something to play for – avoid being in last place. It is neck and neck between Delhi Capitals and SRH at the moment.
