Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) host the struggling Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) on Thursday, 4 May at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal. SRH returned to winning ways, defeating Delhi Capitals by nine runs in their last game. But this was only their third win of the season after eight matches as they are ninth in the points table. KKR, on the other hand, suffered a crushing seven-wicket defeat in their last game against Gujarat Titans while defending 179 runs. The Nitish Rana-led side are currently eighth in the points table with three wins from seven matches. Both the teams need a win to stay in the race for playoff qualification in IPL 2023.
