Squad actor Ashish Tyagi on Rinzing Denzongpa’s debut: Star kids have a lot of responsibility, pressure

Actor Ashish Tyagi, who can currently be seen in the action-packed film Squad, co-starring Rinzing Denzongpa and Pooja Batra, said that the two most exciting factors that audiences can expect from his film is a crew. There are top level action sequences coordinated by. The debut of Rinzing, the son of popular actor Danny Denzongpa, among international action directors. A few days before the release, the Bose actor joined News18 for an interaction, where he told us about his role, the film and more.

Talking about the film, he began, “Two major things that viewers can expect from the squad is great action sequences and Rinzing’s debut. Our director got people who are like Mad Max Fury and Fast and Furious. So, with international crews who’ve worked on Hollywood projects, it’s a bit different from what usually happens in our films. International action directors put some advanced stuff up front, so we got to know them Learned a lot. He definitely has more expertise than us. So you get to see good action sequences in the film.

The squad revolves around an STF squad tasked with protecting the granddaughter of a renowned scientist, who lays out the blueprint for a deadly cyber program. Tyagi further added that Rinzing’s debut is a special factor about the film as all eyes will be on the veteran actor’s son.

“Another exciting thing about the film is that Danny Saab’s son will be launched through it. We all grew up watching him on screen and admiring him and learning from him. He has proved himself to be an exemplary actor. Now the audience will have similar expectations from Rinjing. When Abhishek Bachchan was launched, no one forgot that he is the son of Amitabh Bachchan. So, the bigger the star, the higher the expectations of the public. People will certainly expect him to earn the same name and respect as his father, so all eyes are on him.”

He further said that star kids have a huge responsibility and there is pressure on them to prove themselves. Talking about his work equation, he recalled, “I had a great experience working with Rinzing as we did a lot on the sets and had memorable conversations. We used to sit together in the same vanity van and discuss our film, characters and more. He was extremely humble and down to earth and was always eager to learn new things on the sets. We never felt that he is the son of a superstar because of his humility.”

Tyagi has played a parallel role in Squad. Talking about his role in the film, he compared it with the earlier Bencher. “My character Girish, unlike others, has no training in combat or handling weapons. He is a typical office goer, similar to the first bencher in a school. However, he is sent on a mission because he is great with technology, something that his other teammates don’t do well with. My character works under the character of Pooja Batra in the film.”

Tyagi was last seen in Alt Balaji’s web series Bose. He was also a dialect coach in Mardaani 2. When asked what else he would like to explore, he said that every actor has his own ‘strong zone’, something he is really good at, and that is something he wants to look forward to. “Every actor wants to do characters that are in their strong field. I want to explore roles that have a tough and intense side to them. Something similar was done by Divyendu (Sharma) in Mirzapur or Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Raman Raghav.

“Actors keep getting work but getting what you want is not easy. For that, you have to have some luck and keep showcasing your talent. If you see, the trend of OTT has increased in these last few years. And that’s an area that I really want to explore,” concluded Tyagi.

The squad also stars Malavika Raj, who played a young Pooja in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and child artist Dishita Jain. It is currently streaming on ZEE5.
