Journalists had questioned the violent protest by Bajrang Dal activists, who on Friday stormed a theater in the city’s Narengi where the film is to be screened. Volunteers from a far-right group tore up posters of the film and burned them.

“Khan has not called me regarding the problem, though many people from Bollywood do. But if he does, I will look into the matter.”

“Action will be taken if law and order has been violated and a case has been registered,” he added.

He said that the Assamese film ‘Dr. Bezbarua – Part 2’ will be releasing soon. “People should see it.”

Pathan, directed by Siddharth Anand, will release on January 25.
