‘Spider Man’ Actor Tom Holland Announces Break From Acting

angel: After ‘The Crowded Room’, fans of actor Tom Holland will have to wait a little longer to see him on screen next.

In an interview with Xtra, Holland announced that he is taking a break from acting next year following the grueling production of his new Apple TV+ crime thriller The Crowded Room, reports Variety. “It was a difficult time, for sure,” Holland told Xtra about the making of the show. “We were discovering some emotions that I certainly had never experienced before. And then on top of that, being a producer, dealing with the day-to-day problems that come with any film set , just added that extra level of pressure.”

Holland said he “loved the learning curve of being a producer,” but juggling two roles on one production while playing a character with a serious mental health condition pushed him past his breaking point.

“I’m no stranger to hard work,” Holland said. “I live by the idea that hard work is good work. Then, the show broke me. There came a time where I needed a break and disappeared and went to Mexico for a week and spent time on a beach. I am taking a year off now, and this is a result of how hard this show was. I am excited to see how it turns out. I feel our hard work has not been in vain. ”

Holland starred in “The Crowded Room” alongside Amanda Seyfried, Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Layla Robbins, Christopher Abbott and Henry Eikenberry.
