SpiceJet plane returns to Delhi after smoke found in mid-air cabin

A SpiceJet flight going from Delhi to Jabalpur had to return to Delhi when the cabin crew and passengers of the plane saw smoke coming out of the plane. The accident happened when the plane was at an altitude of 5,000 feet in the sky. Based on the report, the aircraft returned safely to the airport, on return the passengers were safely deboarded.

The video of the incident was shared by ANI, the video shows the cabin filling up with smoke and the passengers fanning themselves with paper, probably to help them breathe. This is not the first incident when a SpiceJet plane has landed in controversy due to a problem with its aircraft. Recently, an airline plane had to make an emergency landing as it caught fire in mid-air due to a bird attack. There have been many such incidents.

Chandrashekhar Singh said, “The Delhi-bound flight had returned to Patna airport after local people caught fire in the plane and informed district and airport authorities. All 185 passengers were deboarded safely. The reason is a technical fault, the engineering team is doing further analysis,” Chandrashekhar Singh said. The District Magistrate of Patna told the media persons.

On 25 June, a SpiceJet aircraft with destination Guwahati had to stop takeoff from Patna’s Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport due to some technical difficulties. This happened several times after the plane made an emergency landing. Former Bihar MLA Bunty Chaudhary, who was on the flight, posted a video on social media.

It should be noted that even after warnings from aviation monitoring authority DGCA, these incidents are increasing with many airlines. Another airline IndiGo is also involved in a similar incident of Birdstrike.
