Passengers and airline staff of a SpiceJet flight with destination Patna clashed at the Delhi airport on Friday morning after the flight was delayed by over two hours. According to a passenger traveling in flight number 8721 between Delhi and Patna, the scheduled departure time from Terminal 3 of this airport is 7.20 am.
The passenger said that at first the airline staff said that the flight was delayed due to weather-related problems but later cited technical issues as the reason for the delay. According to the passenger, several passengers were agitated over the flight delay and were involved in a heated argument with the airline staff concerned at the airport.
The flight will now leave at 10.10 am. There was no immediate comment from SpiceJet on the issue.
