Why is there speculation?
- After the removal of Chirag Paswan from the post of party president last month, Paras had said that he was going to be a part of the Union Cabinet.
- He had said that when I take oath as a Union Minister, I will resign from the post of Leader of Parliamentary Party.
- Ram Vilas Paswan passed away in October last year. He was a Union Minister in the Modi government. Sources believe that Paras may be given a place in the cabinet in his place.
- Chirag Paswan’s relationship with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is not good. Nitish’s JDU is an important part of the Modi government. In such a situation, instead of Chirag, Paras can be given a chance.
