Jin held wide-ranging talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Delhi. This is the first meeting between the two ministers to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and India this year.

South Korea’s Foreign Minister Park Jin said Friday that the Oscar-winning song “Natu Natu” is “very popular in Korea” and praised the “brilliant” film, calling its story “extraordinary.” His South Korean counterpart said the praise was “a really high level of praise.”

The “Natu Natu” dance is really popular in Korea, said the External Affairs Minister, who is on a two-day visit to India. “I saw the film myself, Rise, Roar, Revolt (RRR),” spelling out the hit period action blockbuster “RRR”. It’s a wonderful film and so is the story… I think (the story) was an extraordinary story about the Indian people and history.”

He further said that he is glad that the Korean Embassy has paid special attention to the ‘Natu Natu’ dance and showcased our music, singing and dancing (skills) to the Indian public, which I think can help us communicate with each other. A great way to do it. ,

The External Affairs Minister said that he loved Bollywood films and Shahrukh Khan The starrer ‘Chennai Express’ is his favourite. “I saw 3 Idiots and Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express is also one of my favorite films, including RRR,” he added.

“We need greater cultural exchange between the two countries, especially among the younger generation to understand and appreciate each other’s cultures so that we can deepen our bilateral ties,” he said.

Jin held wide-ranging talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Delhi. This is the first meeting between the two ministers to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and India this year.

In his opening remarks, Jin spoke in Hindi and said, “Mujhe India aa kar aur aapse mil kar bhut khushi ho rahi hai.” (I am very happy to come to India and meet you).

“These are really exciting times to be in India, the Indian economy is now the fifth largest in the world with a young population that is among the largest in the world. India is playing an increasingly important role in the international arena and is set to further influence the world as the Chair of the G20 this year.”

‘High-standard compliment’: Jaishankar on Natu Natu remarks

“India has showcased its cultural prowess to the world with the recent Oscar win and I must say the ‘Naatu Naatu’ song and dance has captivated the world,” he added.

At the meeting, Jaishankar responded to the statement and said, “Your Excellency, if the Koreans praise you, it is a really high level of praise,” drawing laughter among the diplomats.

“Korea and India have a lot in common. We are exemplary democracies, vibrant economies and cultural prowess, and both are determined to contribute to a free, open, peaceful and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, said the South Korean Foreign Minister.

“Kya Tara, India aur Korea prabishti partner hain” (Thus India and Korea are natural partners), he said in Hindi.

So India and Korea are self-reliant partners and I firmly believe that our two countries have a strategic partnership, he said, “and it is the most special and strong partnership in the Indo-Pacific region,” he said.

“This year marks the 50th year of diplomatic relations between Korea and India. In this historic year, I look forward to working with you to further strengthen the ties between India and Korea. Thank you once again for inviting me as your guest,” he continued, concluding his speech in Hindi.
