South Africa vs Bangladesh: Rabada, de Kock guide S Africa to easy win over Bangladesh

Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada led South Africa 5-39 to wrap up the three-match series with a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second one-day international at The Wanderers on Sunday.

Bangladesh chose to bat but after a poor start could manage only 194 for nine in their 50 overs. The home team had no problem chasing the target, which they achieved with 76 balls to spare.

He scored 10 points in the ICC World Cup Super League table, where South Africa are struggling to break into the top eight to automatically qualify for the tournament in India next year.

Bangladesh were reduced to 34 for five as the home pacers found exaggerated bounce off the surface and took the lead with regularity.

Rabada was particularly devastating, but when South Africa lost their third fast bowler Wayne Parnell to a hamstring injury early in his spell, it opened an end to the visitors.

Afif Hossain (72 from 107 balls) and Mehdi Hasan Miraj (38 from 49 balls) shared a respectable 86 for the seventh wicket, but it was below par at a venue famous for high-scoring games.

It was proved by opener Quinton de Kock as he scored 62 off 41 balls in reply to the home team and Kyle Wren.

(58 not out from 77 balls) gave South Africa an easy win.

Bangladesh won the first game by 38 runs on Friday. The decider of the series will be played on Wednesday at Centurion Park in Pretoria.
