Sooryavanshi Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif starrer witnessed the first weekend blockbuster!

Diwali 2021 sees release Rohit Shetty Directed by ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan and Ranveer singh. While fans loved the action-packed masala entertainer, the makers were surprised when the film raked in Rs 50 crore in its first two days. While everyone is waiting for the box office collection of the opening weekend, it is expected that the film will reach Rs 81 crore. Collections on the first day became 26.29 crores while on the second day it earned 23.85 crores. Going by the series, it is expected that the film will see a huge growth on Sunday and the weekend collection will be the biggest ever for Akshay Kumar.

Meanwhile, media and internet research analyst Karan Taurani said that the film will record “lifetime earnings” of Rs 140-150 crore, “which is 30 per cent less than pre-Covid levels”. However, the box-office will do better only if the 50 per cent occupancy limit is removed in the states. “It is very important to be relaxed,” Taurani said. The momentum is likely to be maintained in the next two-three weeks as more content-rich medium and big budget films are coming up.
