Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam on Tuesday announced on social media that he along with his wife, son and sister-in-law have tested positive for COVID-19. The popular singer shared a vlog on his Instagram handle in which he revealed the news. He captioned the post, “#SonuLiveD | Vlog 141. I got tested for COVID+. Happy New Year 2022 to the extended family! #covid_19 #newyear #2022 #vlog.”
In the video, Sonu revealed that he is currently in Dubai with his family and had to go to Bhubaneshwar to shoot for a show, which he will not do as he is in quarantine.

He also said that even after several tests his COVID test was positive but his symptoms are mild and he does not feel sick. Sonu said, “We have to be careful, not to be scared because this time it is spreading a bit fast. I feel bad for theatres, I feel bad for the filmmakers because in the last 2 years all our work has been affected. Has happened.”
