Kanpur: Additional sessions judge Kanpur Nagar Akhileshwar Prasad Mishra on Friday rejected the bail application of accused Sonu alias Shivnath Singh who was arrested by the police after an encounter from a house in Chakeri recently. Sonu and his friends had forced their entry into the house of one Vijay Kumar Awasthi, who is employed in USA. He had witnessed the activities of Sonu and others and informed the police about burglary. The police force reached on the spot and arrested Sonu. The court observed that the police had arrested accused from the spot and charged him for opening fire at the police. Accused had neither disputed the incident nor said anything about his presence on spot. tnn
