It was revealed yesterday that actress Mahima Chaudhary has fought a battle with breast cancer. The revelation was made by veteran actor Anupam Kher, who posted a video on his official Instagram account in which Mahima opened up about her diagnosis and her treatment. Mahima revealed that she came to know about breast cancer during her annual sonography and informed Anupam Kher when she approached him for his upcoming film The Signature.
When News18.com asked Bollywood Actress Sonali Bendre, who was also diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018, said, “Someone just told me, I haven’t read about it. Very sad to hear that.”
However, Sonali Bendre also said that she would love to reach out to Mahima and talk to her. “To be honest, I would love to approach him and I will. This is not something I want to say in front of the camera because I just heard about it from another journalist. I haven’t had time to process it yet and I’m sure I’ll do what needs to be done. I need time to get it off camera before I can comment on it.”
During the conversation, Sonali Bendre also spoke about how she realized her love for acting after being diagnosed with cancer. “Going through an illness gives you a lot of clarity when you say, ‘I want to avoid this’ or ‘What am I going to do when I come out?’ The only thing you can think of is to go in front of the camera and that’s when I realized that I really wouldn’t want to do anything other than this (acting),” she said.
Please tell that Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018. She went to New York for treatment.
