Mohsin Khan defended 11 runs in the last over to hand Lucknow Giants a 5-run win on Tuesday night. The left-arm seamer had recently returned from an injury and announced his comeback with a brilliant over that kept his team in the playoff race. But what he did with the ball was not easy at all, especially when Naveen-ul-Haq conceded 19 runs in the last over of the innings. Tim David had turned the momentum in MI’s favor but Mohsin kept his cool. He bowled on a tight length and did not allow MI batsmen to hit a single boundary.

After finishing the game in favor of LSG, Mohsin revealed that his father had been in the ICU for some time now and was discharged a day before the MI clash.
“Had a tough time because I was injured, playing after a year. My father got discharged from ICU yesterday and he was in hospital for last 10 days and I did this for him, he must be watching.

Mohsin’s brother Armaan said that his father was excited to see his elder son playing so well. He also said that the head of the family is recovering.

Lucknow is currently in third placethird He has 15 points in his bag. Their next match against KKR will decide their fate in the league. If they beat Knight Riders, then Lucknow will qualify with 17 points.
