Snap: Snapchat rolls out new features for Snap Maps – Times of India

New Delhi: Photo-messaging app Snapchat Introduced a new feature called Layers. This is an exclusive experience available from select partners and crack Which is personalized for Snapchatters. The messaging app is now offering two Snap-owned experiences – Memories And to explore Layers feature.
As the year comes to an end, the photo messaging app is taking on Snapchat memories snap map, With this feature, users are allowing them to revisit their favorite moments where they have happened.
It’s interesting to note that this layer feature will only show your own memories and you cannot see your friend’s memories on your Snap Map.
On the other hand, the Explore feature is a new take on the Snap Map that builds on the Signature Heat Map. Explore makes it easy for the community to experience photos and videos from Snapchat submitted elsewhere around the world.
In this first iteration, Snapchatters will be able to toggle between layers to customize the landscape, so they can always see what they’re looking for—whether they’re in the mood to look back, or just look around.
Recently, Snapchat announced that its monthly user base has reached 100 million in the country. Snapchat’s parent company Snap Inc. virtually hosted the second edition of ‘Snap in India’. At the event, Snap’s co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel announced a monthly reach of 100 million Snapchatters in India.
Snapchat’s app allows users to share photos with friends, and offers filters and lenses that are augmented reality-enabled.
Snap is also partnering with many brands in the country. The company has announced a strategic partnership with domestic e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart, to develop innovative AR experiences for e-commerce.
