Rebel star Sulagna Panigrahi has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in quarantine after developing symptoms. After Panigrahi’s diagnosis, the show’s production team tested the entire cast and crew. According to the production house’s statement, BMC officials were informed, and the sets would be fumigated and disinfected as per protocol. The actress is currently receiving medical attention and is being quarantined at home.
“Actress Sulagna Panigrahi, who is an integral part of the TV show ‘Rebel’, has tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the symptoms were detected, she got medical help and quarantined herself. Soon after that The cast and crew were put in isolation and tested. The BMC is informed and the sets will be fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol. Presently, the artist is receiving medical attention and is in home quarantine. We We are in constant touch with the entire team as their health is our priority,” Producer Subrata Sinha and Bodhisattva of Gatha Films, LLP said in a statement.
Sharad Malhotra, the lead actor in “Rebel” was also recently down with the virus. The 38-year-old actor tested positive on January 5, and the sets of the show were sanitised. He has just recovered from COVID-19.
The actor recently shared the news with his fans on Instagram, captioning the photo, “We are back, #letsgetthispartystarted #virusfree with not just positivity but positivity.”
Uninvited comedians Biswa Kalyan Rath and smoldering Panigrahi were married in an intimate ceremony in December last year.
