West Indies were 224-9 behind Sri Lanka by 162 runs when the third day of the Test came to an end on Tuesday due to incessant drizzle.

Only 38 overs were played, and the better part of two seasons were lost. West Indies resumed 113-6 in reply to Sri Lanka’s 386 and overnight in the morning, batsmen Kyle Meyers and Jason Holder, who added 50 to their partnership.
