Sunil Gavaskar gave a valuable advice to Mumbai Indians legend Suryakumar Yadav

Sunil Gavaskar has a golden suggestion for Suryakumar Yadav ahead of Mumbai Indians’ eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants. Speaking on the official broadcaster of IPL, Gavaskar said that Surya would need to get better with his game plan as the slower surface in Chennai would demand more restraint.

The advice will help Surya plan his innings as Mumbai Indians beat LSG by 81 runs in the Eliminator. However, Gavaskar’s advice may come in handy ahead of Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans.

The former Indian batsman, however, praised Surya for his extraordinary ability to play “farm shots” all around the park. But according to Gavaskar, his technique needs some modification to deal with a bowling-friendly wicket.

The two put on a crucial 66-run partnership, after which Surya left for the hut after scoring 33 off 20 balls. His innings included 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Mudhwal wrapped up the game with record bowling figures of 5/5, which saw Lucknow bowled out for 101 in 16.3 overs.
