“The report reveals that more than 80 percent of respondents find it challenging to hire certified professionals, which puts organizations at risk. To strengthen their security posture and stay ahead of the growing cyber threat landscape, organizations It is necessary to give priority to cyber security training and upskilling.

One result of this is that many understaffed cyber security teams are overburdened and stressed as they try to keep up with the thousands of daily threat alerts and try and find different solutions to properly secure their organization’s devices and data. try to manage.

Additionally, as a result of a cyber skills shortage not filling IT positions, the report also found that 84 percent of organizations in India indicated they face additional cyber risks.

Nearly half of organizations in India (those surveyed) suffered breaches that cost more than $1 million to repair in the past 12 months, up from 38 percent of organizations reported last year.

“Also, 69 percent of Indian organizations expect an increase in the number of cyber attacks over the next 12 months, highlighting the need to fill critical cyber positions to help strengthen organizations’ security posture,” the report said. Will increase.
