The balloons may have been carrying corner reflectors and reconnaissance equipment
The military administration of the Ukrainian capital said on Wednesday that six Russian balloons were spotted over Kiev and most were shot down after being engaged by air defences.
It said on the Telegram messaging app that the balloons may have been fitted with corner reflectors and reconnaissance equipment.
