Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Maaveeran’ goes on floors; the makers finalise Aditi Shankar as the female lead – Times of India

Sivakarthikeyan has announced his next film with director Madonne Ashwin, and the film titled ‘Maaveeran’ was launched a couple of weeks back by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Today on the auspicious day of Aadi 18th, Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Maaveeran’ hits the floor, and the makers have finalized the female lead. ‘Maaveeran’ will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, and the film shooting kick-started today in Chennai. The team will be shooting for a month in Chennai, and the major portions of the film are expected to be completed during the extended schedule.

Sivakarthikeyan will be sporting a different look for the film and director Shankar’s daughter Aditi Shankar, who is set to make her on-screen debut with Karthi starrer ‘Viruman’, has signed her second Tamil film, and she is roped in as the heroine for ‘Maaveeran’. Aditi will also be making her Telugu debut with ‘Maaveeran’ since the film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, and the film is titled ‘Mahaveerudu’ in Telugu. Aditi Shankar will be joining the shooting of ‘Maaveeran’ a day or two later as she is off to Madurai today for the grand audio of ‘Viruman’.

Vijay Sethupathi was said to be playing a key role in ‘Maaveeran’, but it looks like a rumor as the makers haven’t approached the busy actor for the film. Mysskin and Saritha have on board for the film, and this adds strength to the film’s star cast. Bharath Sankar will be scoring the music for the action drama, while Vidhu Ayyanna will be cranking the camera.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in ‘Prince’, and the Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which is directed by Anudeep, is slated to release for this Diwali.
