GURUGRAM: The Chief Flying Squad A gang allegedly carrying out active supplies busted Sim Cards to foreigners without documents. A gang member was arrested from Sector 51 on Tuesday when he was waiting for a customer outside a prominent private hospital. According to the police, two other accused are absconding.
The accused has been identified as Ravinder Singh alias Sameer (38), a resident of Muzaffarpur in Bihar. He has been living in Wazirabad since 2005. He used to provide illegally activated SIM cards to foreigners for Rs 600-800 without any documents. An official said that he has been doing this since 2018.
“We were outside Artemis Hospital, where he was waiting for his potential client, when our team caught him,” Inderjit Yadav said. Police recovered 14 active sim cards vodafone, 52 SIM cards (not activated), 20 mobile phones and Rs 18,500 in cash from their possession.
