Sidhu’s aide Mustafa denies making ‘communal’ remarks at public meeting in Punjab’s Malerkotla

Former Punjab IPS officer Mohammad Mustafa, who is the principal strategic advisor to state Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, has denied making “provocative” remarks at a public meeting in Malerkotla.

An FIR has been registered against him under section 125 of the Representation of the People Act.

Mustafa clarified that there was no communal angle in his speech.

“It is absolutely absurd. I am sure the administration will use its mind and quash the FIR. Don’t blame me for being anti-Hindu or communal. There was no reference to it,” he said.
