Former DGP Muhammad Mustafa, Strategic Advisor to Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Sidhu, is again embroiled in controversy. Mustafa now called Sri Guru Granth Sahib a book during an election rally in Malerkotla. The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) has erupted as soon as its video surfaced. The SGPC has asked Mustafa to apologize. He has been warned that legal action will be taken if the apology does not make a public apology.

Earlier, Mustafa was surrounded by his statement regarding Hindus. The BJP had alleged that Mustafa threatened the district administration that if Hindus equal to him were allowed to perform Jalsa, then I would create such a situation that they would not be able to handle. Although Mustafa had clarified that he had said Fitnon, not Hindus, which means mischievous. A case was also registered against Mustafa in this case.

BJP leader Harjit Grewal said on this statement that Muhammad Mustafa is anti-national. He has relations with Pakistan. Even as SSP, he remained in many controversies. Because of which he was not made DGP. Mustafa should be investigated.
