The Congress party said that the death of Sidhu Musewala is a ‘terrible shock’ for the party and the country.

Sidhu Musewala’s death: Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday. The Congress party condemned the attack on him, saying it was a “terrible blow” to the party.

The Congress party in a tweet said: “The killing of Mr. Sidhu Moose Wala, Congress candidate from Punjab and a talented musician, has come as a terrible shock to the Congress party and the entire nation. Our deepest condolences to his family, fans. .and friends. We stand united and steadfast in this time of great sorrow.”

“Punjab is in flames!” BJP leader Amit Malviya wrote on Twitter. He further added: “Punjab is in flames! Is the brutal murder of popular singer Sidhu Musewala the change AAP promised? Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chadha, who run Punjab covertly, are held accountable for the murder. Should have gone. Didn’t they know about the murder. Threatened before security was withdrawn?”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi termed the death a “murder” on Twitter. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of Sidhu Musewala, a promising Congress leader and a talented artist. My heartfelt condolences to his fans and fans across the globe.”

Soon after the incident, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also tweeted: “We are warning the Punjab government to pay attention to the situation in Punjab. The security of a total of 424 people, including Moosewala, was withdrawn by the Punjab Police.

Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh tweeted that the attack on Moosewala was a “brutal murder” and said that “the law and order situation in Punjab has completely collapsed”.

The captain tweeted and wrote, ‘The brutal murder of Sidhu Musewala is shocking. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Law and order has completely collapsed in Punjab. Criminals have no fear of law. @AAP Punjab government has failed miserably. no one is safe. In Punjab!”

Punjab CM also expressed condolence and asked people to remain calm. “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific murder of Sidhu Musewala. No one involved will be spared. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fans across the world. I appeal to all to remain calm.”

AAP supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said in a tweet in Hindi, “The killing of Sidhu Musewala is very sad and shocking. I have just spoken to Punjab CM Man Sahib. The culprits will be given the harshest punishment. Request everyone to stay calm and maintain peace. May his soul rest in peace.”
