Sidhu Musewala murder case: Accused thrashed in Ludh Jail, treatment continues

Sidhu Moosewala Murder Update: An accused in the infamous Sidhu Musewala murder case was physically assaulted by a group of fellow inmates inside the Ludhiana Central Jail, ANI quoted a police officer as saying. As per the latest update, the accused suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment where he was stitched up. Inspector Gurpreet Singh said, ‘The accused Satbir has been brought here for treatment. He has got stitches on his head. The accused Satbir Singh, a horse trader from Talwandi, was caught by the Ludhiana police for his alleged involvement in supplying arms to the killers of Moosewala. Reports suggest that the prisoners who attacked Satbir were outraged by his involvement in the murder of the Punjabi singer, which had gained immense popularity.

Satbir Singh is mainly accused of providing guns to the killers of Moosewala.

A Delhi court on Saturday extended the remand of two members of Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldi Brar gang, Ankit alias Sersa and Sachin Chaudhary alias Sachin Bhiwani, by five more days on the hearing of the case. He was produced after five days of police custody.

Patiala House Court duty magistrate Bhavya Karhel extended the custody of Ankit and Sachin after hearing the arguments of Delhi Police.

Sidhu Musewala murder case

PTI reported that the gang members had killed singer Sidhu Musewala in broad daylight in Punjab’s Mansa on May 29, 2022.

The police had said that they had received information that gang members were coming to meet their associates in the Kashmere Gate area. They are planning to commit a heinous crime in the city. They are planning to eliminate the rival gang members. They have weapons. The Delhi Police said that the custody of the accused persons is required to unearth the conspiracy and reach the source of the weapons and mobiles.

A Delhi court had granted the custody of Lawrence Bishnoi and Jagdeep Bhagwanpuria to the Punjab Police in connection with the alleged murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.

A Delhi court on Monday allowed the Punjab Police to arrest three accused in connection with the case. Delhi Police has arrested him in the MCOCA case.
