Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s romantic drama Satyaprem Ki Katha hit the theaters on Thursday, June 29, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The film, which opened to positive response from the audience and critics, marks the reunion of Bollywood’s hit on-screen couple Kartik and Kiara after their blockbuster film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. While the film is creating the right buzz among the fans. Sidharth Malhotra also saw the film and became a cheerleader for his wife’s performance.

Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film features Kartik Aaryan as Satyaprem aka Sattu Agarwal, while Kiara plays the role of Katha Kishan Kapadia. The film is a musical drama that depicts the roller coaster ride of Sattu and Katha’s love story. It also stars Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anuradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirmit Sawant and Shikha Talsania. The film is jointly produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Namah Pictures. Satyaprem Ki Katha was officially announced on 23 June 2021 with a motion poster by Sajid Nadiadwala. Originally it was named ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’, but it was changed to avoid hurting the sentiments of the people.

The makers shared a statement in this regard and said, “The title of the film is something that emerges naturally through the creative process. To avoid hurting sentiments, we have used the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’. ‘ has decided to change the title.” Even if it is completely unintentional. The film has a multi-composer soundtrack by Manan Bhardwaj, Payal Dev and Meet Brothers. From Naseeb, Aaj Baad, Gujju Pataka, Sun Sajni, and Paasuri Nu, produced by Rochak Kohli from Ali Sethi’s 2022 Paasuri from Coke Studio.
