Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi might be headlining a project that will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
As per reports, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur will be starring in a contemporary romance drama, bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been on a roll with back to back project announcements. While his ambitious ‘Love & War’ with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are grabbing all the headlines, his OTT web series Heeramandi will hit the streaming platform later in 2024. Amid these announcements, a report has surfaced that suggests Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur will be part of a project that will be bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
A recent PeepingMoon report revealed that the project will be a romance drama against the backdrop of a contemporary world. Apart from the fresh on-screen pairing of Mrunal and Siddhant, the film will be helmed by Ravi Udyawar, who previously directed Sridevi’s critically acclaimed film Mom.
The sources close to the entertainment portal shared,”It’s a pure romance drama set in a contemporary world and backed by soulful compositions. Mrunal, who has captured the hearts of the Indian youth with films like Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna, will continue her streak in the romance genre with this film, and romancing her on-screen this time is Siddhant, popularly known for his breakthrough performance in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Their fresh on-screen chemistry only adds to the excitement for this SLB production.”
On the professional front, Mrunal Thakur first made her Hindi film debut with Love Sonia (2018). Her big break came with the Telugu romantic drama Sita Ramam (2022), which won her two SIIMAs. She will next be seen in the Hindi film Pooja Meri Jaan, alongside Huma Qureshi. She will also be a part of the Telugu film Family Star alongside Vijay Deverakonda.
Meanwhile, Siddhant Chaturvedi is receiving plaudits for his performance as a stand-up comedian in the recent Netflix film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Siddhant’s brilliant portrayal of a youngster navigating life’s nuances in a film centred on friendships, co-starring Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav, is gaining rave reviews. Besides this, the actor is currently working in an action film and is busy shooting in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
