US President Joe Biden, who is in Hiroshima, Japan for the Group of Seven (G7) summit, was irked when a reporter interrupted him while he was taking questions from another reporter. He became so irate that he told the reporter to “shut your mouth”.

According to media reports, the incident happened when Biden was addressing a press conference with Australian PM Anthony Albanese on Saturday. Reporters asked him a question about talks with the Republican opposition to suspend the debt ceiling. While he was answering his question, another correspondent, reportedly an Australian, interrupted him and tried to ask another question.

Enraged by this, Biden responded to him in a brutal manner.

“Shut up, well, thank you,” said the US President,

Notably, this was not the first incident when Biden had a rough experience with media persons. On several occasions, he said, “Give me a break” when reporters pressed tough questions.

When Biden grabbed a hot mic

Earlier last year, in response to a question asked about inflation, he had given a rude answer to a Fox News reporter. After Biden’s remarks, reporters in the room shouted questions.

Fox News’ Peter Dokey asked Biden about inflation, which is at a nearly 40-year high and has hurt public approval of the president. Doki’s network has been a frequent critic of Biden.

Doki said, “Do you think inflation is a political liability before the medium term?”

Biden responded with sarcasm, “It’s a bigger asset – more inflation.” Then he shook his head and said, “What a silly son of a ***h.”
