Iqbal
Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Iqbal was a coming-of-age sports drama film produced by Subhash Ghai. Iqbal follows the story of a cricket-crazy deaf-mute boy from a remote village who overcomes all odds to fulfill his dream of becoming a cricketer. The film won two National Film Awards.

Shreyas also starred in the musical romantic satirical fantasy film Om Shanti Om. Shreyas Pappu plays the master in the Farah Khan-directed film. The drama starred Shah Rukh Khan in dual roles, while also marking the debut of Deepika Padukone. The film won several awards at major Indian award ceremonies, along with praise for the performances.
