Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer will not be judged in this dressing room: Dinesh Karthik

Karthik defended Shreyas for throwing his wicket, saying that the Delhi Capitals (DC) cricketer had no option but to attack every ball.

While Shreyas struggled with timing the ball perfectly during his short stay, Venkatesh faced just two deliveries before being sent back to the stands by Daryl Mitchell.

However, performances from Shreyas and Venkatesh did not affect the result as Pant (17 off 17 balls) put India on the line with two balls to spare.

India and New Zealand face each other once again for the second T20I match of the three-match series at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on Friday, 19 November.
