Shraddha Walkar murder case: Aaftab Poonawalla to be produced before Saket court on Friday

New Delhi: According to sources, Aftab Amin Poonawala, accused in Shraddha Walker murder case, is to be presented in Saket court on Friday. He is the prime suspect in the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walker. Aftab Poonawala is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. Tihar Jail authorities have asked its 3rd Battalion to provide special security to accused Aftab as he will be produced before the concerned judge.

The 28-year-old, who is accused of dismembering Shraddha’s body and keeping the severed body parts in a refrigerator before disposing of them in south Delhi’s Chhatarpur forests, is currently in the custody of the Delhi Police. The investigation into the matter is on and according to jail officials, Aftab spends time plotting chess moves, often alone and sometimes fighting with two fellow inmates.

A police officer involved in the investigation of the case even told that “Aftab is very clever” and a “new twist” can be expected in the case.

According to sources, Aftab shares his jail cell with two more inmates who often play a game of chess in the cell.
