Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor in custody: This is not Shakti Kapoor’s son’s first brush with NCB

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhant Kapoor has been detained by the Bengaluru police for allegedly consuming drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night. Media reports have claimed that Siddhant was partying at a hotel in MG Road, where the police raided on the basis of a tip-off. According to the Bengaluru Police, Siddhant is among the six people who were found allegedly consuming drugs.

This is not the first time that the veteran actor’s son has been detained. In October 2008, Siddhant was among 241 persons detained for attending a rave party following a raid at a nightclub by Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell. He was reportedly working as a disc jockey in a nightclub. Police also arrested eight drug peddlers and also recovered 104 tablets of Ecstasy, 540 drops of Ecstasy and other drugs like charas and cocaine.

Only three months later, in January 2009, Siddhant’s name was cleared of drug charges.

His name resurfaced in the drug case in the cruise case last year when Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan Arrested and later released after spending a month in prison. But the principles were not part of the high-profile party that was held on Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship in early October 2021.

Whereas, in 2020 Shraddha Kapoor He was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to record his statement in a drug probe into the death of film star Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB investigation team had recorded Rajput’s statement in connection with the drug case related to his death and the Bollywood-drugs nexus.

Siddhant started his acting career with Sanjay Gupta’s crime film Shootout at Wadala and later starred in Anurag Kashyap’s psychological thriller film Ugly, in which he played a cameo role alongside Tejaswini Kolhapure and Ronit Roy. Siddhant collaborated with his sister Shraddha in Haseena Parkar, which is based on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena. The film marked Shraddha Kapoor’s first title role, while Siddhant played the role of Dawood Ibrahim. Siddhant was last seen in director Rumi Jaffrey’s Chehre, in which he played former murder accused Joe Cost.
