Shooting range converted into Covid care facility ready to return to form Noida News – Times of India

Noida: With permission of Govt. outdoor activitiesNoida Authority has decided to start the operation of firing range In Sector 21A from next week. It was converted into a Covid-19 care facility during the second wave of pandemic pandemic.
The authority is reverting the condition of the range to its original state before handing over the facility to the Faridabad-based agency that runs the stadium. Manav Rachna Sports Academy Will run shooting range and provide membership.
An official said, “We have already removed all the wooden and metal planks and parts of the stadium are being raised to their original position. Documentation and paperwork are also being finalized for an agreement with the agency and for the official handover of the shooting range for commercial use. ”
The 69-acre sports complex also houses an integrated stadium. An association under the leadership of cricketer Rudra Pratap Singh will run the stadium. The stadium will have grounds for badminton courts, table tennis, basketball, handball, gymnastics, judo, wrestling and boxing.
The paperwork and other formalities for handing over the indoor stadium to the consortium will also be over by the end of July, the official said.
The stadium also has a huge cricket ground and an additional ground. The authority has also started looking for an agency that can run the cricket stadium and generate revenue for the authority.
Indoor stadium and shooting range will be operated on the same lines.
The authority is eyeing revenue of Rs 3.15 lakh from indoor sports activities and Rs 1.1 lakh from shooting ranges.
An official of the authority said, “The stadium is currently free for morning walkers. The matter will be decided after the involvement of all the stakeholders. As of now we have no plan to control the movement of morning walkers.
