Asif Ali and director G Prajesh Sen have started shooting for their upcoming fantasy, Houdini – The King of Magic, in Kozhikode. Houdini- The King of Magic revolves around the world of magic and its profound impact on the life of a young man. It marks the first collaboration between Asif Ali and G Prajesh Sen who’s known for his previous films like Captain and also co-directed R. Madhavan in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
Houdini- The King of Magic marks the debut of Anand L Rai’s banner Color Yellow Productions. The film’s primary locations are Kozhikode and Rajasthan. Adding to the buzz, Houdini – The King of Magic represents Asif Ali’s maiden collaboration with director G Prajesh Sen. The film features a stellar cast, comprising revered actors from both Malayalam and Tamil cinema. Guru Somasundaram, Jagadish, Srikant Murali and others will be seen in prominent roles.
The film has Bijibal as its music director, with Noushad Sherif taking charge as the cinematographer, and Bijith Bala assuming the role of the editor.
The film features a cast that includes Sunny Wayne and Vinayakan alongside Asif Ali. Asif’s future projects include Kishkintha Kaandam, an upcoming venture with director Jis Joy, co-starring Biju Menon in a high-octane entertainer, and a film with debutant director Arfaz Ayub.
Some time back, the makers unveiled a post giving deets about the film. The caption of the post reads, “Presenting the title of my new with the captain @prajeshsen #rollingfromtoday today. Aanand L Rai & Colour Yellow Productions in association with Karma Media & Entertainment”.

Asif Ali has wrapped up filming for three other projects i.e. A Ranjith Cinema, Kishkinda Kandam, and Otta, which signifies the directorial debut of Academy Award-winning Resul Pookkutty.
