Shivangi Joshi to play Badi Anandi opposite Randeep Rai in Balika Vadhu 2?

Ever since Shivangi Joshi said goodbye to her popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, her fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite actress on screen. There is great news for those fans as showbiz is in abundance that Shivangi has been roped in to play the role of Badi Anandi in Balika Vadhu 2. If reports are to be believed then the show will soon see a time jump, where the actress will join the cast along with actor Randeep Rai.

Reportedly, Randeep Rai will play the role of adult Jigar Anjaria. Etimes reported that a source close to the project told her, “After considering several names to play Badi Anandi, the makers picked Shivangi to play the role. This is the second installment of a popular show, and we are leaving no stone unturned to nab the right cast. Shivangi is a fine actress and fits perfectly. We are hopeful that she will join the cast on the sets and start shooting. The time leap is scheduled to start by the end of November or the beginning of the next month.

Talking about Randeep’s role in the show, it said, “Yes, Randeep will be playing the role of adult Jigar and will be paired opposite the new Anandi (Shivangi Joshi). Randeep is a talented actor and we are happy to have him with us. Just like the inaugural installment, the show is all set to embark on a new journey after the time leap. The actors will shoot a mock in a couple of days.”

Randeep rose to fame after playing the role of Sameer Maheshwari in Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai.

However, there has been no official confirmation by the makers or the actors of the show.

Child actors Shreya Patel and Vansh Sayani are currently seen playing the central characters of Anandi and Jagiya in the show.
