Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the longest running drama on television is witnessing a major turnaround. With the lead cast Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi moving on, the show will launch a new season with a new cast. Later Mohsin, who played Karthik, gave an emotional farewellShivangi Joshi now shares her thoughts about her association with the serial.
In a long post shared on Instagram, Shivangi Joshi wrote how she could not stop crying. She mentioned how there comes a time when we meet new people and they ‘make room for life in your heart.’ The actor said that time came in May 2016, when he entered the popular daily. “I never knew the set would literally be my second home and people I didn’t know would eventually be my family,” she wrote.
According to the actor, in this journey of nearly six years with the show, he has experienced many emotions. And when she was leaving the sets two days back, it felt like a ‘Bidaai’. He wrote, ‘All the people associated with the show had come there to say goodbye and we were all crying. For an outsider, it is no less than a parting scene of a girl. I take every possible emotion of a human being from the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
On a final note, he thanked producer Rajan Shahi for the opportunity and for trusting him. He also thanked the production, his co-star Mohsin Khan and all the well wishers who supported the show.
After the lead is over, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Will see a generation leap with the story of Akshara and Aarohi, daughters of Kartik and Naira (Mohsin and Shivangi). The makers have recently introduced new faces of the show to their audience. While these characters will be played by debutants Pranali Rathod and Karishma Sawant, popular TV face Harshad Chopra will be seen as her lover.
On winning the show, Pranali Rathod said that she is over the moon. “I am extremely thrilled to be a part of such a huge show, and look forward to the audience accepting and loving my character. As soon as the script was handed over to me, I didn’t look back as not everyone gets a chance to be a part of such a show.
The new story will focus on step-sisters and how they fall in love with the same man. While Abhimanyu’s (Harshad) heart rests on Akshara (Pranali), she will go to any lengths to keep her sister happy. The new story will start tonight.
